Frequently asked questions

Do you service passenger car tires?

No. We work exclusively on RV, motorhome, and bus tires. Big-vehicle tires call for different equipment, load-range knowledge, and mounting setups than passenger car tires, and that specialization is the whole shop.

How is a motorhome tire different from a car tire?

Load range and weight ratings have to match the coach's actual GVWR, not just the tire size. Lug torque specs run well above a car's. Many coaches ride on dual rear positions, two tires mounted side by side per side, which need to match each other in size and pressure. A tag axle behind the drive axle adds another load point with its own rating requirements.

How do I know if my RV tires need to be replaced?

Check the age, not just the tread. Motorhome and bus tires often reach the end of their safe service life on the sidewall's DOT date code before the tread wears down, especially on a coach that sits between trips. Cracking in the sidewall rubber is a sign the tire has aged out regardless of remaining tread depth.

Why do RV tires age out faster in Las Vegas?

Heat and UV exposure accelerate the rubber-hardening process that ages a tire out. Las Vegas desert conditions are more aggressive on tire rubber than a milder climate, so a tire that would still have years left elsewhere can age out sooner here, particularly on a coach stored outdoors between trips.

What brands of tires do you install?

We install and service Michelin, Goodyear, Toyo, Continental, Bridgestone, and Firestone tires for motorhomes, motorcoaches, and buses. We're an authorized Michelin dealer.

What happens during a tire service visit?

A proper visit starts with inspection: tread depth, sidewall condition, uneven wear, and the age of each tire. From there it's load and pressure matching to the coach's ratings, mounting and balancing sized for dual rear and tag-axle positions where they apply, and a TPMS check to confirm the pressure monitoring sensors are reading correctly.
