Diesel models (Discovery, Discovery LXE) use Freightliner chassis with Cummins engines and air brakes — they're more powerful, quieter, and longer-lasting. Gas models (Pace Arrow, Bounder) use the Ford F-53 chassis with the Ford 7.3L V8 — more affordable with lower operating costs.
Both were originally part of Fleetwood Enterprises. After the 2009 restructuring, REV Group acquired both brands. They now operate as separate divisions — American Coach is the luxury line, while Fleetwood offers more accessible price points.
The Ford 7.3L 'Godzilla' V8 is a relatively new engine (2020+) with excellent early reliability reports. It produces 350 HP and 468 lb-ft of torque — a significant improvement over the previous V10. We perform full service and diagnostics for this engine.
Annual service or every 5,000-10,000 miles depending on the model. Diesel models follow Cummins service intervals (15,000 mi oil changes). Gas models follow Ford intervals (5,000-7,500 mi oil changes). Generator service is based on run-hours.
